With an EV drivetrain, the Kia Niro EV has a combined system output of 201 horsepower and 291 pound-feet of torque. Behind the wheel, punch it up a notch with the push of a button to engage sport mode. A high-density, lithium-ion polymer 64 kWh battery packs enough power for a 293-mile AMCI Testing Certified range, and fits unobtrusively under the vehicle’s floor to retain a roomy cabin.

• High-tech Hardware

  High-end design meets high-tech, as Kia Niro EV-specific gauge modes display energy flow, charge status, and other important vehicle information. Travel in style as the distinct seat trim and blue interior accents complete the high-design aesthetic.

• Cargo Space

  The Kia Niro EV comes with a 53.0 cubic feet of cargo room, with the rear seats down, to fit your lifestyle, more room than the 2021 Audi Q3. 60/40 folding rear seats let you fit larger items and offer expansive versatility for life’s adventures.

• Command Center

  The standard 10.25-inch touchscreen display with split-screen capability allows access to your music and other standard features like the Voice-Command Navigation System. The standard Rear View Monitor (RVM) is available right at your fingertips.

• Standard 400V DC Fast-Charging System

  Kia Niro EV supports multiple charging levels: Level 1 (120V), equivalent to a normal home outlet; Level 2 (240V), common in public spaces and may be available for installation in some homes by a qualified electrician; and public DC fast charging (where available), which can charge up to 80% capacity in about an hour and fifteen minutes. 100kW DC fast chargers can also add 100 miles range in about 30 minutes.

• Public Charging

  With over 70,000 Level 2 (240V) and nearly 7,000 Level 3 (DC Fast) compatible public charging outlets currently available nationwide, and more being built all the time, you can plug into the expanding public grid with increasing ease. Kia Niro EV can even direct you to the closest charger.

• HOV Lane Access

  The Kia Niro EV is eligible for a High-Occupancy Vehicle (HOV) decal in select states, giving you access to the HOV lanes, even when driving solo.

• Purchase Incentives

  You may qualify for select incentives which may be available in your area, including insurance and utility incentives, as well as federal and state government tax rebate programs. Check with your local municipality for details.

• Cold Weather Capabilities

  Winter won’t slow you down with the available Cold Weather Package. A battery heater helps improve charging speed and improves battery operation in cold weather, while the heat pump helps extend range in cold climates. The package also includes a heated steering wheel, on top of the standard heated front seats, to help make you comfortable when the temperature drops.

• Regenerative Self-Charging

  Regenerative self-charging captures the kinetic energy otherwise lost when you decelerate or apply the brakes and uses it to recharge the lithium-ion drive battery.

• Rotary Shifter Dial

  An innovative rotary shifter with LED indicator is surrounded by some of the most commonly used controls, so comfort is always within reach.
